Ogoni Women Re-Affirm Support for Pyagbara, Condemn Gininwa’s Purpoted Swearing-in of Lube-Nwidobie

The Federation of Ogoni Women”s Associations (FOWA) has condemned the purported swearing-in of one Mike Lube-Nwidobie at the residence of a local community chief, Godwin N.K. Gininwa in Korokoro, Tai local government are a on Monday, January 11, 2016.

The Women, who spoke through their president Gloria Nwanam and PRO Helen Nkpankpan condemned the traditional ruler for disregarding the ethos of Ogoni culture by diminishing the revered Ogoni traditional institution to associate himself with a fraudulent process and attempting to create confusion in Ogoni.

The women who re-affirmed their belief in the Ogoni struggle, expressed confidence and support for the re-elected MOSOP President, Legborsi Saro Pyagbara noting that no amount of external influence will derail the Ogoni cause.
