APC Leadership Seek Reconciliation With Wike Over Rivers Political Crisis

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that its leadership is engaging the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as part of efforts to resolve the political crisis in Rivers State.

The APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, disclosed this on Thursday during an interview on TVC News’ Beyond The Headlines, citing Wike’s strong support for the ruling party’s re-emergence in 2027 despite not being a registered member of the party.

“Of course, as you know, Wike is an avowed supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even though not a member of the political party.

He described Rivers State as critical to President Tinubu’s political success, adding that Wike was already being engaged in efforts to achieve an amicable resolution of the crisis.

Basiru also noted that the ongoing consultations were confidential, stressing that not all measures being taken would be disclosed publicly.
